Scope
Apollo CMS was engaged to rejuvenate one of Brisbane’s most iconic commercial building’s car park, which sets a new benchmark in meeting Australian Standards. Services performed include: extensive floor cleaning and preparation; application of grey epoxy coating for general driveway areas, and black epoxy coating for individual car bays and entry /exit ramps; and pedestrian and cycle friendly line markings.
Challenges
The car park needed to be operational during the various stages of work to allow traffic movements and restaurants to access their storage and cold room areas.
Therefore, the majority of work was undertaken after hours with the utilisation of traffic control and security staff to assist with vehicle and pedestrian access.
Results
The project demonstrates innovation and Apollo CMS’ ability to work collaboratively with all parties involved to deliver an exceptional result for the client.
The Gracemere Industrial Access Project is located along the Capricorn Highway approximately 9km west of Rockhampton and connects to Somerset and Boongary Road via a prestressed concrete T-girder rail overpass bridge.
Apollo CMS were commissioned to apply 1,944 m2 of non sacrificial anti-graffiti coating to the Overpass.
The project demonstrates Apollo CMS’ ability to undertake a diverse range of large scale projects.
In some cases, structural concrete cracking can be repaired using specialised concrete crack injection repair products. These products use either low-pressure or gravity to seep into the concrete crack and fuse both sides of the crack together to form a stitched, solid structure.
Apollo CMS provide a complete concrete repair service from cutting out the old, damaged area, preparation of steel, and full reinstatement and repair of the area.
